PS3 Review – The Last of Us: Left Behind (2014)

While the significant character reveals in The Last of US: Left Behind will be debated upon for years to come what isn’t in question is Naughty Dog’s gaming wizardry at work as the developer has crafted one of the best examples of how to create compelling downloadable content that adds significantly to the original experience.  The Last of Us: Left Behind might not exactly last long but this is a clear case of quality over quantity at work and should serve as a reminder to all companies that trying to make cash through either single-player campaign or multiplayer add-ons should not be the overriding goal as gamers will strongly voice their displeasure.

PS3 – The Last of US: Left Behind DLC Opening Cinematic Trailer

After winning a ton of awards last year developer Naughty Dog is back with some single-player DLC for their highly acclaimed title, The Last of Us.  Entitled “Left Behind” the DLC takes place long before Ellie meets Joel in the game and instead focuses on her and her best friend, Riley.  That’s all I’m really going to say to avoid spoiling anything for those who still haven’t played the game.

Alternate Ending – The Last of Us (2013)

I…was…not…expecting…this.  Seriously, as long time readers know I gave Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us a glowing five star review a short while ago for being one of the best video games this entire generation.  Today, Naughty Dog decided to throw fans a small bone by releasing this video that details an alternate ending for the game that is…totally unexpected.
