Update – Batman vs. Superman (2016)

Yesterday, director Zack Synder tweeted that he was probably going to reveal the new Batmobile today and lo and behold he has with one caveat: not only did he reveal the new Batmobile he also revealed Ben Affleck in the new Batsuit. That’s one way to generate buzz.

Update – Man of Steel 2 aka Untitled Batman & Superman Film

After months of rumor upon rumor Warner Brothers has officially announced today that the new Man of Steel 2 (or whatever they are going to call it!) is going to have yet more superheroes featured in it besides Superman (Henry Cavill) and Batman (Ben Affleck).  Who else is going to join the cast?  It’s….Wonder Woman now played by Gal Gadot who apparently won the role after a long casting process.

Ben Affleck is the New Batman

Warner Brothers announced a few hours ago that Ben Affleck will be taking over the role of Batman from Christian Bale and that he will star opposite Henry Cavill in the still untitled Superman/Batman movie now slated for July 17, 2015.  Zack Synder returns as the director and presumably just about every supporting cast member from Man of Steel as well which includes Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

Movie Review – Argo (2012)

Ben Affleck turns in a triumphant directorial effort helming Argo (2012) making the film gripping, topical and most of all, highly entertaining.  It may or may not be the best film you see this year but it is sure to be a crowd pleaser and at the very least will remind everyone that truth is most definitely stranger than fiction.

Movie Review – Paycheck (2003)

Paycheck certainly has an intriguingly provocative premise based on a short story by Philip K. Dick but instead of exploring the concept further director John Woo makes the wholly erroneous decision to throw it to the curb content to replace it with wall to wall car chases, explosions and martial arts combat. What begins as a gripping thriller/mystery quickly devolves into rote action that is neither inventive nor strangely pulse pounding leaving audiences disengaged from the whole project altogether.
