Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC Announced
Today Bioware announced that the last two pieces of Mass Effect 3 DLC are on the way. The Citadel DLC which clocks in at almost 4GB in size represents the final single-player expansion for the game where players once again take control of Commander Shepard. At the same time Bioware announced the Reckoning DLC which adds to the game’s robust multiplayer mode.
The March 5 release date for The Citadel expansion marks almost a full year since Mass Effect 3’s initial release last March in North America. In a way I personally can’t believe that I’ve spent the better part of the last year talking about this game on my blog but it certainly looks as if the final chapter in Commander Shepard’s tale is soon to arrive. Hopefully Bioware manages to knock this one out of the park. As sad as I am to see the game’s narrative finally conclude I have to admit that it is about time to close the book on Shepard and move on to another story. Then again considering the firestorm that erupted regarding the ending I don’t envy Bioware’s staff as they ramp up for Mass Effect 4 or whatever they end up calling it.

Here is the official Bioware release for both expansions:
