Photography – Fairview Mall Food Court

by Master Pillow

My next set of pictures come from Fairview Mall which is probably my most visited shopping mall of all time.  I don’t know whether or not that is a positive or negative factor!  Regardless, here are a few shots from different angles of the food court area which was renovated a few years ago.  Before the renovation this area used to be empty space that was only utilized for special events such as building Santa Claus’ castle during X-Mas season.  The food court was previously located upstairs near the cinemas but I figure that the owner decided on a major redesign.  I can’t say it has hurt as the food court is almost continuously packed and is about impossible to find a seat on weekends.

Then again it is aggravating to find that many seats are occupied by one person pounding away on a laptop oblivious of what is going on around them.  The few times I’ve walked by all they are doing is surfing websites which is a lousy way to treat customers who are vainly trying to find some place to sit down especially the elderly or families with children.

As for the food itself I cannot say it is anything special as it consists of such big chains as KFC, McDonalds, Mr.Sub, New York Fries and good old Tim Hortons.  As a special note I’ve realized that nowadays many of these malls in Toronto lack an Italian fast food counter which I find weird since I grew up with them nearly everywhere I went.

You have to come visit us ya! 

The malls here are not as big as those in HK, Tokyo or even KL, you’ll be able to walk through all the shops in Fairview mall in half a day. But it’s still one of the nicest mall in the greater Toronto area. You must come and shop here, k! 
