Movie Review – Swordfish (2001)

The summer movie season is usually loaded with multi-million dollar, testosterone, steroid-enhanced action adventure blast fests that will leave your ears ringing from all the loud explosions and your head in a haze more so due to the lack of a coherent narrative.  Amidst all these films that pump your adrenalin up are those quieter dramas that attempt to fill in the gaps in Hollywood’s mega-powered event film schedule.  Guess which category, Swordfish, the new film staring John Travolta, Hugh Jackman and Halle Barry falls in.  Need help, try this — it was produced by Joel Silver.  End of story.
